Official Froyo 2.2 for EVO 4G

August 3rd, 2010

 Android Froyo 2.2

The guys over at XDA Developers have released information about the 2.2 update for the HTC EVO 4G by Sprint.  As we mentioned before, the official release is going live starting today, August 2, but EVO users can grab it now.  This file has NOT been rooted, so if you install it on a rooted phone, you will in fact lose root access.

It should also be noted that it is an update from the standard OS, not a full release.(FROM:www.androidguys.com)

If you have an unrooted Evo, are you going to head on over and flash this update, or wait for Sprint to send it to you?  Let us know how it works!

Free HTC IMEI Update Tool Perfect Released

May 5th, 2010

Free HTC IMEI Update

You should have a CID unlocked device possibly with a downgraded ROM.

Remember, once you have downgraded your ROM, and unlocked your CID, this tool will work for sure. If it doesn’t work initially, just downgrade your ROM, unlock your CID, start Windows Mobile, establish an ActiveSync connection, and try again. It will work. (Only exception: DOC G4 chips are currently not supported)

AND, once you’ve updated your IMEI, you can ALWAYS upgrade to a later ROM. The changes to your IMEI survive new ROM installations
