How to restore Samsung Galaxy Mini to factory settings

April 24th, 2011

Samsung Galaxy Mini I have a friend he installed Dolphin Browser to my Galaxy Mini, and it wanted to set a shortcut on the homescreen, but all three homescreens were already filled with widgets and shortcuts… Then Touch Wiz launcher (TWLauncher) crashed and tried to reboot, but it still kept vibrating and sending a error message (to force shut down TW Launcher) so it doesn’t display menu, just 4 icons on the dock (call, message, menu and contacts) Only feature which  can access is task manager… So need some software or something to reset the phone to factory settings.

Android 2.2 On Samsung Vibrant Gone Wrong Work Out

December 27th, 2010

Samsung Vibrant T959-1

Question:

I tried to upgrade to the 2.2 operating system using a guide on android forums.
I originally had a rooted 2.1 OS, I don’t know if I unplugged it before the process was complete or if I had to return to a stock OS prior to upgrading; however now I cannot get to download mode to use Odin again.
I have read through some threads and I have a different case, I am not stuck at the Vibrant screen, I get past it. Upon boot up I get the Galaxy S screen followed by an Android System Recovery <3e> screen with some other texts. If I hold the power button, I will get the "Power Reset or Unknown Upload Mode" screen. If I continue to hold the power button, the phone will cycle between those three modes, the Galaxy S screen, the Android System Recovery screen, and the unknown upload mode screen.
I have and am still trying different key combinations to get back to recovery mode in attempts to reload the stock OS and then continue with the 2.2 upgrade.
I have made a video that I will post when I get home later today; any help will be appreciated.
